YFC/Youth Unlimited St. Catharines is excited to launch our 1:5 matching financial campaign. At the beginning of November 2017 we installed solar panels to help offset the cost of our hydro bills. The cost of installing solar panels has set us back $25000, however over the next 20 years we believe we are going to save $125000 in hydro costs. This means that for every dollar we raise towards paying off the cost of installing solar panels, we will save 5 times that dollar amount over the next 20 year. It was a no-brainer for us to approve the solar panel project.

We believe in being good stewards of what we have been blessed with and want to work towards long term sustainability. In 2014 we installed a similar solar panel system at our sister youth centre in Vineland and in a little over 2 years we paid off the system. Our youth centre in Vineland is now well on its way towards financial sustainability. We want the same for our youth centre in St. Catharines. Can you help pay off our system sooner? Through your financial donation you will help ensure we continue offering programming to our St. Catharines & Thorold students for years to come. Sincerely the staff and committee of YFC/Youth Unlimited St. Catharines.
